KwaZulu-Natal’s creative and cultural industries are set to take center stage as MEC for Sport, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Mntomuhle Khawula, challenges the sector to play a vital role in uniting communities while driving economic growth.
Speaking at the launch of the KZN Creative and Cultural Experience at King Shaka International Airport in Durban, MEC Khawula emphasized the power of sport, arts, and culture in fostering social cohesion and boosting the province’s economy.
The Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture has outlined a dynamic program of activities that will run until the end of February, bringing together various stakeholders, including Economic Development and Tourism KZN, Amafa, and other key partners. This initiative aims to showcase the rich artistic, sporting, and cultural talents within the province while creating meaningful economic opportunities.
