Aiyana Business Development is proud to announce the first official strategic partnership for the Nzalabantu Pop-Up Market, with Small Enterprise Development Finance Agency (SEDFA) and uMfolozi Local Municipality joining as founding partners for this exciting initiative.

Taking place on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at the Nzalabantu Sports Field in Mbonambi, the market has been designed to create meaningful market access opportunities for local entrepreneurs, informal traders, farmers, food vendors, artisans and small businesses.

Beyond providing a platform to sell products and services, the Nzalabantu Pop-Up Market focuses on business growth by connecting entrepreneurs with organizations that can help them develop and expand their businesses.

As part of the partnership, SEDFA will host an on-site Business Support Help Desk, where entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to engage directly with business advisors. Visitors can receive information and guidance on:

  • General Retail Stalls
  • Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Vendors
  • Food Vendors
  • Vehicle Exhibition & Sales
  • Business Exhibitions
  • Family-friendly entertainment
  • Business funding opportunities
  • Enterprise development programmes
  • Business support services
  • Financial readiness
  • Growing and formalising their businesses

Representatives from uMfolozi Local Municipality will also be available throughout the day to engage with entrepreneurs and demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to supporting local economic development and small business growth.

“This partnership represents exactly what the Nzalabantu Pop-Up Market was created to achieve,” said Aiyana Business Development. “We want entrepreneurs to leave with more than sales—we want them to leave with new opportunities, new partnerships and access to services that can help transform their businesses.”

The market will feature:

The event forms part of Aiyana Business Development’s Access to Markets Programme, an initiative aimed at strengthening township and rural economies by creating sustainable opportunities for small businesses.

Entrepreneurs are encouraged to book their stalls early and take advantage of the opportunity to not only generate sales but also network with development agencies, municipal stakeholders and fellow business owners.

Together, Aiyana Business Development, SEDFA and uMfolozi Local Municipality are building stronger local businesses and stronger communities.
