In the bustling streets of his hometown, Khethelo’s Car Wash has become more than just a place where cars get cleaned- it is a symbol of vision, hard work, and persistence.
Khethelo started his car wash with nothing more than a bucket, a few cleaning cloths, and a big dream. What began as a side hustle to make some income soon grew into a fully operating business, attracting both loyal locals and new customers every day.
“When I first started, I didn’t even have the right equipment,” Khethelo recalls. “I used what I had, but I promised myself that one day people would drive in and feel like they’re entering a professional car wash.”
His journey has not been without challenges. Weather changes, competition, and limited resources tested his resilience. But Khethelo turned every challenge into a lesson. “The rainy days taught me patience, and the tough times taught me how to value consistency,” he explains.
Today, Khethelo’s Car Wash is thriving, employing young people from his community and creating opportunities. For him, it is not just about cars- it’s about service, growth, and impact. “I always say this car wash is more than business. It’s a place where dreams get polished, just like the cars we wash.”
